Change to Kroger Coupon Policy

An acquaintance of mine shared a story with me tonight about her trip to Kroger.
"Kroger may have just lost my business completely...

We stopped in tonight to grab a few things. My coupons beeped. The cashier said that Kroger's new policy is that if the coupon is 75% of the cost of the item, then it will beep and the computer won't accept it. If the coupon will double to give the item for free, the computer won't accept it. She called over a manager and they said the same thing. They actually showed me a copy of the new policy. They've never done that before. The manager wouldn't override the coupons (they were all the correct coupons for the right items). I left everything there."

We living in Indianapolis. I'm going to do some more digging and call and ask more about this; however I can tell you, if this is how Kroger is now going to treat their loyal couponing customers, they are no longer on my stores to shop list.

Have you noticed any changes in your area in stores coupon policies that are making it harder and harder to use the coupons that the mfg's send out?

What's the easiest store to use coupons at in your area?

Have a Blessed day/night,

This is all thanks to a certain LTC show! Stores are cracking down on coupons now. I don't like that show at ALL!

I agree with you there. I've never liked that show. I knew it was going to be bad news once it started.

I agree with you both, It is unrealstic with all the coupon policies out there that these people are able to do that.
