I was asked this question earlier today. It really got me thinking. I know a lot of people just see it as a way for card makers, flower shops, and candy makers to make more money. I don’t see it as such. It means it’s another day for me to reflect on the love and respect I share with my wonderful husband of 8 years. We celebrate our wedding anniversary, but that’s just a day for that, celebrating our wedding. Valentine’s day gives me a chance to celebrate our love!
We always get each other Valentine’s Day cards, and Valentine’s Day gifts! It’s almost a game to come up with something new each year, as I hate to give him the same old thing year after year! I want my gift to show him how much I love him, and how much I respect him as a man, as my husband and as the love of my life J I’m thinking this year I am going to give him a new coffee cup with my picture on it J I love to give personalized gifts to everyone! For my children I might even make them some things with their children’s pictures on them.
