Homemade craft dough

Every kid loves Play-Dough! And I think a lot of parents do too :) It can be expensive if you buy it often enough. Why not save money and make your own? :)

Ingredient List
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
Food Coloring of your choice
Directions
Step 1) Mix flour, salt and oil, and slowly add the water, cooking over medium heat.
Step 2) Keep stirring until dough becomes stiff.
Step 3) Turn out onto wax paper and let cool. Knead the playdough with your hands until of proper consistency.
Step 4)Use as is, or divide into balls and add a few drops of food coloring to make green, red, yellow and blue. For no mess- mix in a ziplock bag.

Thats all there is to it! Just make sure you seal this in an air tight container when not in use!
And you can click here to go to a color chart so that you can make any color of the rainbow!

If you make some of this for your lil ones, come back and show us your pix! I'd love to see what everyone does with this :D

Have a Blessed day/night,

This recipe is a real winner with my kids, Thanks for sharing it! One thing I found out... you can get the food coloring off your hands with egg whites!

Thanks, Becky Jane
Raising kids can be a lot like weeding the rose bed...well worth it, but...OUCH!
